If you have a question before booking, please contact us. Continental breakfast on the Coffee Deck can also be added in advance.

Our booking terms set out how cancellations and amendments are handled. If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll advise what can be done in line with the terms attached to your booking.

Online bookings are paid securely by debit or credit card. If you have a Bowhayes Farm gift card, please follow the redemption instructions supplied with it or contact us before booking so we can help apply it to your stay.

Yes — we’re around 20 minutes from Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast, and well placed for exploring Ottery St Mary, Honiton, Seaton, and East Devon’s beautiful walking routes. We also recommend nearby pubs, farm shops, and local events.

Dogs are welcome on camping pitches, provided they are kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not permitted in the bell tents, helping us keep them suitable for guests with allergies. A dog may sometimes be accepted in our shepherd’s hut, Pippin, by prior arrangement, so please contact us before booking.

Bowhayes Farm is a quiet, adult-focused site, best suited to couples, solo travellers, and peaceful getaways. While we are largely adults only, we do welcome children aged 13 and over who are respectful of the tranquil atmosphere*. We don’t currently offer facilities for young children or family groups. *Quiet time 21:00 – 07:00

You can book one of our camping pitches, three furnished 5-metre bell tents — Michelin, Dabinett and Bramley — or our shepherd’s hut, Pippin. Each bell tent sleeps two people in a king-size bed and includes rugs, solar lighting and outdoor seating. Pippin is available throughout the year and has a double bed, wood-burning stove and tea and coffee facilities. Our camping and glamping accommodation is set within the cider orchard, with shared toilet, shower and other site facilities nearby. Fires, firepits and barbecues may be restricted during prolonged dry weather.

Our camping pitches are designed for small bookings only. We accept a maximum of three guests per pitch, which helps us maintain the space, privacy and quiet atmosphere of the site.

You have access to shared facilities across the site. These include The Outback Shower, The Water Station for drinking water and washing up, and the Downstairs Toilet & Kitchen in the farmhouse courtyard. Glamping guests also use The Horsebox Shower & Toilet and The Field Kitchen, which provides gas hobs, a kettle, cookware and seating.

Wi-Fi is available around the Coffee Shop and main communal area, but not inside the bell tents or shepherd’s hut. Most major UK mobile networks generally receive a good 4G or 5G signal across the site, although coverage can vary by network and device. Many guests choose Bowhayes Farm precisely for the chance to switch off and enjoy a quieter stay in the orchard.

Yes — each pitch or bell tent comes with its own firepit, and you’re welcome to use BBQs as long as they’re raised off the ground. We have logs available to purchase on-site and ask that all fires are kept within the designated areas. Extras available on-site include: logs, firepits, our cider and locally sourced venison burgers.

To make the most of your stay, we recommend bringing: • Towels (bath and hand) • Torch or headlamp (for walking safely at night) • Walking shoes or boots for exploring the countryside • Weather-appropriate clothing — waterproofs, warm layers, sun protection depending on the season • Personal toiletries and any specialty items you prefer We provide bedding and essentials in the shepherd’s hut and bell tents to keep packing easy.

Yes. Parking is available for staying guests, and we’ll direct you to the appropriate parking area on arrival. If you’re arriving with more than one vehicle or have specific access needs, please let us know when you book.

Absolutely. Our quiet orchard setting, crackling firepits, and cosy accommodation make Bowhayes Farm an ideal place to unwind and reconnect. Many guests come for anniversaries, birthdays, or simply to enjoy the slower pace of rural life.

Yes! Pippin is fully insulated and has a wood-burning stove, making it a warm and cosy choice for autumn or winter stays. With countryside views and fewer guests around, it’s perfect for a peaceful off-season escape.

We do. If you're travelling through East Devon for work, the shepherd’s hut offers a peaceful alternative to a hotel. There’s 4G / 5G signal, parking, a small worktop space, and basic cooking kit — all within easy reach of Exeter, Honiton, and the A30.

Yes. Bowhayes Farm may be available for exclusive hire for small weddings, retreats and similar private gatherings. As we are a working orchard with a limited number of stays, each request is considered individually. Please contact us with your preferred dates, expected numbers and requirements so we can discuss whether the site is suitable.

Tea, coffee and a continental breakfast can be booked in advance and are served from the Coffee Deck. A small selection of onsite extras, such as hot and cold drinks, snacks, cider, charcoal, logs and basic provisions, may also be available during your stay. For larger meals, there are several pubs, cafés and restaurants in the surrounding villages and nearby Sidmouth.

Yes. Bowhayes Farm gift cards can be used towards camping, glamping or a stay in our shepherd’s hut, Pippin. They make a flexible gift for a peaceful break in our East Devon cider orchard.
